Greenhouse and Indoor Production Guidelines for Using Circadian Crop Sciences Products

Greenhouses and other indoor production facilities are enclosed environments whereby growers have varying degrees of control over environmental conditions. Pesticides used in these facilities must specifically be labelled for such use. This can severely limit pest control options. Fortunately, Circadian Crop Sciences, LLC has two products with two completely different modes of action these grower can to add to their pesticide toolboxes.

Circadian Sunrise is an OMRI Listed horticultural oil. The active ingredients are peppermint oil and corn oil. It doesn’t just suffocate target organisms, it destroys cell membranes. Fungal diseases such as powdery mildew melt away before your eyes. Mites and insects die shortly after contact. Essential oils are highly effective. They are widely used in structural pest control. The problem with them for agriculture has never been with efficacy, it has been with phytotoxicity. With Circadian Sunrise we have solved the phytotoxicity problem inherent in essential oil based pesticides (patent pending), while introducing a potent biostimulant (patent pending). Unlike other horticultural oils, Circadian Sunrise fumes to reach where sprays miss. Unlike other horticultural oils, growers can safely rotate in sprays of Circadian Sunrise between sulfur applications. We recommend weekly to bi-weekly applications starting with newly emerged seedlings or rooted clones and continuing up until harvest. A rate of one ounce of Circadian Sunrise per gallon of water is generally suffient to prevent powdery mildew, botrytis, and other foliar fungal diseases, and to keep populations of most insects and mites low. To eradicate existing outbreaks of diseases you can safely mix Circadian Sunrise at rates of up to 3 ounces per gallon. Circadian Sunrise leaves behind no harmful residues, so it works well in conjuction with beneficial organisms. For controlling mealybugs, mix at 3 ounces per gallon with sprays coarse and powerful enough to breakup egg masses and multi-layered colonies. The biostimulant in Circadian Sunrise has the potential to increase biomass, branching, number of flowers or fruit, and to increase fruit quality. Circadian Sunrise has no required harvest or reentry intervals.

All Phase is a super affordable fungicide, bactericide, and spray adjuvant. With All Phase we combine one of the most effective and widely used food preservatives in the world, potassium sorbate, with two plant-based polymers (patent pending). In a recent UC Davis field trial, weekly applications of All Phase at a low rate effectively controlled powdery mildew on chardonney grapes. All Phase works well when used alone, but the polymers in All Phase make it a great spray adjuvant, increasing deposition of spray droplets and keeping sprays wet against target organisms longer. It adds a new and complex mode of action to your spray rotation. Fog nightly to just wet foliage for the ultimate in powdery mildew prevention. Reenter after sprays have dried. No harvest interval.
